Panic Buy
~/intro.txt
Solid ground cracked, and everything permanent and inevitable fell away. Panic buying is a local expression of this age of global contingency. On bare supermarket aisles the tensions between the individual, the communal, and the corporate play out in a crisis of excess and necessity. Who prepares our communities for universal calamity? Panic buying is the climax of a system primed for collapse.

DIONYSUS
Dionysus was god of harvest and produce. Where he travelled, pleasure and plenty followed. He gifted to mortals winemaking and the plough, and they worshipped him in hedonistic festivals.

Then Dionysus was cursed with madness, and his followers descended into chaotic debauchery. The angry old gods destroyed him, tearing him limb from limb and scattering the pieces.

But from one broken fragment a new Dionysus grew, a young deity of resurrection. The ancients tell of his many reincarnations, and he signifies both the certainty of decline and the promise of regeneration.

The combination of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent global financial recession has created a growth environment for certain categories.
Increases in competitive share-of-voice during an economic downturn have been shown to result in both short-term and long-term gains to profit.
As some brands will impulsively reduce ad spend, they are making room for yours to step into the spotlight and make your voice known to their customer base.
Take your place as the must-have, trusted brand. When ad spending returns to normal, you will have maintained share of mind.
